Impressionism Inspired Typeface

This project draws inspiration from the Impressionist art movement, focusing on selecting a typeface that reflects the time and place where it originated. Although the artists we now recognize as Impressionists were not labeled as such during their era, and no typeface exists uniquely tied to the movement, several typefaces were designed in late 19th-century France, the cradle of Impressionism. Among these, Canora was chosen for its elegant, cursive style, which evokes the handwritten signatures of artists from that period. This choice connects the typographic design to the historical and cultural context of Impressionism, enriching the project with both stylistic and temporal authenticity.
